How Do You Define Your Personal Space?

Since 2007, Modern Atlanta Home Tour has inspired, entertained, and educated thousands of fans and an admiring public in love with contemporary architecture and design. The highly sought tour is also a shining example of Atlanta unleashing its creative powers for a new language of bold urbanism to the rest of the nation. Modern Atlanta Home Tour examines the full vernacular of modern residential design currently seen in Atlanta, from the cutting-edge with the use of new sustainable materials and digital technology, all the way back to the post-modern era when architecture was inspired by the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Charles & Ray Eames. You will also witness how thoughtful architects are bringing their passion for contemporary excellence into the interiors of more traditional homes with some amazing results, and fine examples of conversion-projects where both exterior and interior are updated to the relevant concerns and needs of today. There is plenty to be excited about for 2010 and our knowledgeable staff of MA volunteers are at your disposal. Enjoy Life!

The tour is a “call to action”, celebrating modern urban culture and each year attracts thousands of like-minded visitors from all over the Southeast, appreciative of the benefits of contemporary living at its finest and in search of powerful ideas that will help better define their own personal space and lifestyle. Each home selected for this year’s tour has its own unique stories and victories related to contemporary architecture & design, interiors, sustainability, technology, and most importantly, humanity.

For 2010, we are excited to feature beautiful contemporary homes and interiors designed by Altlanta’s leading contemporary studios including Dencity, bldgs, TaC Studios, Lightroom, Gil Montoya Architecture, Bach Architecture, Square Feet Studio, Dima Zaitsev Studio, and Johnna Barrett Architecture, just to name a few. Come see the latest trends in contemporary architecture and design in Atlanta on this self-guided tour of modern homes. Addresses and general map will be provided in the MA Event Guide. Cost for tour tickets: only $35 for both Saturday and Sunday tours which includes entrance to the MA09-Design Is Human Opening Night Kickoff Party and Exhibitions.
