Illustrator Jarno Kettunen lectures SCAD-Atlanta

Ketteunen, whose work in designer fashion, has been described as beautiful and experimental, is much in demand, has a cult-like following.
During Belgium-based Finnish illustrator, Jarno Kettunen’s recent visit to Atlanta, Georgia as part of MA08’s Belgium Design and Fashion Weekend Fundraiser to benefit Darfur, he was invited to SCAD-Atlanta (Savannah College of Art & Design) where he lectured students studying fashion. Ketteunen, whose work in designer fashion, has been described as beautiful and experimental, is much in demand, has a cult-like following and the admiration of famous fashion houses including Eley Kishimoto and more recently Dior Homme, where he has lent his artistic expression to their collections.

At SCAD, the future designers learned more about Kettunen, his love of designer fashion and how he developed a unique style, gained international recognition and success by applying the techniques of the fine arts while developing a style of illustration that captures on paper the excitement leading to “runway”.
