MA and Room & Board are proud to present Architectural Inspiration, our series of special talks and perspectives by the architects, designers, builders and remodelers who each year are part of the highly-regarded Modern Atlanta Home Tour.

They will present their hands-on, ground-up experiences of designing and building the residences that inspire and excite the MA Home Tour attendees as well as the occupants who live in these bold and innovative spaces. As you determine who will one day build or remodel your home, consider these living architecture, fresh ideas and innovative concepts presented by the speakers at these inspirational and educational talks.



Dencity’s Staffan Svenson and Bryan Russell
Prior to starting Dencity, Bryan and Staffan were first tennis partners. Both are former varsity college players, at Mississippi State and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively. Out of this grew a friendship, and for many years, they lived as neighbors in the in-town Atlanta neighborhood, Grant Park. Dencity was started in 2000 as a small, urban focused firm. Their first project was an affordable housing project in the University Center district of Atlanta, Georgia. Since then, Dencity has grown to design a diverse body of work including office and restaurant interiors, private residences, and multi-family residences.

While a majority of their work is in the Atlanta area, they have designed residential interiors in the New York City Time Warner Building and vacation homes in the north Georgia Mountains and on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
