He was a speaker at many seminars around the world, including TED conference in Long Beach in 2009, with his talk "Can Good Design Save Newspapers?".

Award-winning designer Jacek Utko explores the relationship and trends between newspaper and web design and defines the essentials for creating world-class publications. He reveals how a fresh approach to combining top design with business strategy and content can completely reshape the product the process and the future of the industry. About Jacek
Jacek Utko, Polish designer, based in Warsaw. Design director for the Swedish Bonnier Business Press International, responsible for publications in Scandinavia, Central Europe and Russia. He redesigned around 30 newspapers, magazines and websites in different countries. He collected more than 40 awards in various design competitions. Two of the newspapers he redesigned, Poland’s Puls Biznesu and Estonia’s Aripaev, were named “World’s Best Designed Newspaper” by Society for News Design, in the largest international editorial design competition.
